About Us

“The thing that makes the Steel Pan Academy so special is the people; I’ve never come across a place where people from all different backgrounds and situations can all come together and just click so well.”

Steel Pan Academy was created with the intention of increasing access to quality steel pan teaching resources. We’re committed to ensuring that those in the Warwickshire area are able to take part in our schools, groups and workshops. We offer a range of teaching opportunities, schools, after school and evening groups, performances and workshops for both schools and corporate events.

It’s never too late to learn how to play the steel pans! Our lessons are suitable for everyone – regardless of age. All of our tutors are highly experienced when it comes to both teaching and playing steel pans. They have a lot of combined experience under their belts and will be able to help you to flourish and become a confident steel pan player.

We wholeheartedly believe that working as a team is one of the most rewarding things we can do. With this in mind, we have established a partnership with Coventry’s Phase One Steel Orchestra. We love nothing more than to work in tandem with our schools and players.

Introducing steel pans to a wider audience is a great passion of ours, which is why our community groups are available for hire. They’re often very busy in the summer months, so if you’d like to bring the joy of steel pans to your event – you ought to book in advance!

For those of you already involved with the Academy, we hope you’ll be able to find all news related to your school and groups you need. If you’ve joined us recently, we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website!

If you have any questions regarding the Steel Pan Academy, please feel free to contact us, we’ll be more than happy to help.
